There are many wonderful flavours of herbal tea and they are especially helpful when quitting sugar – they smell amazing, give your taste buds the semblance of something sweet and are filling. Also the simple act of filling up the tea pot, letting it brew, pouring it into your favorite cup…its creates a ritual that we can find comforting. I Love T2’s Melbourne Breakfast, Chocolate Chai and for a healthy hit, Sencha Green Tea.

OMG this tea is incredible. Do yourself a favour & try it. It is heavenly. Made from Coconut, Cocoa & White Tea, it is naturally caffeine free – it tastes amazing and smells even better. At $22 for 100g, it isn’t cheap, but if you are a serious sweet tooth and want a very sweet way to help yourself quit sugar, this is it. I have a pot in front of me now & I can hardly concentrate because it smells so good. Just WOW!

GOOD FATS

Good Fats

Haloumi, avocado, activated & roasted nuts, full fat milk, cheese and butter… These types of foods can be life savers when dealing with the often heavy hunger pains that haunt you in the first week or two. I know I had severe hunger pains and I found that In order for me to feel full, I needed to be satiated and nothing does this better than good fats.

 

YUMMY SNACK THAT TASTES LIKE ICE CREAM!

With 5 days to go, I am experimenting with no-sugar and trying to get my head around it. Today at about 4pm I craved something sweeeeeeet!!!!! Badly!! So i invented a yummy dish that tastes like ice cream!

It is Organic Whole Milk Yoghurt, Coconut roasted lightly on a stove top and cinnamon…it looks amazing and tastes even better! Bring on the I Quit Sugar program!

KOKO BLACK 100% DOMINICAN REPUBLIC PURE COCOA

This saved me in the first few days of the ‘I Quit Sugar’ program. It tastes like chocolate but without any of the sweetness of chocolate…and one very small square of it cures my chocolate cravings for the rest of the evening. Previously, I could easily eat a whole 250g block of Cadburys on the couch and be left feeling physically ill. With one small square of this, I don’t feel like more & am left feeling bright, energetic and satisfied.
